We have several ongoing studies examining positive emotion and its relationship to mood daily life. More details below:
Emotion in bipolar disorder study: : This study is recruiting adults with and without a history of bipolar disorder. Participants will be asked to come to a single campus visit lasting between 4-5 hours containing a brief interview, computer tasks involving viewing emotional films, and questionnaires. Participants will be compensated up to $40 for their time. If interested, email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Emotion in young adults study: : Between 18-25 years of age? We are conducting a study involving two separate lab visits where you will be asked a series of questions about your life experiences and watch some films, answer questionnaires, listen to audio recordings, and have your heart rate and breathing non-invasively recorded. The second part of the study involves contacting you once every 6 months afterwards to do a brief interview to ask about your current mood and experiences at that time. Payment is up to $100. Please contact: email@example.com.
We are always looking for motivated students wanting to study and research emotion and psychopathology. You can find more information about the lab here. If you are interested in getting some research experience, please send an email to Dr. June Gruber with a copy of your CV/resume, brief outline of your research interests, and the kinds of experiences you hope to gain by being part of the PEP lab. Please note that a minimum 2 semester commitment of 8-10 hours per week is required.
Please Note: Dr. Gruber is accepting graduate students this cycle (starting Fall 2017).
Please get in touch if you are applying to graduate school programs and interested in joining our research team. You can find more information about the lab here. The majority of graduate students are from the clinical area, but we strongly encourage students with basic interests in positive emotion, emotion regulation, and neuroscience from social, cognitive, and developmental areas are also encouraged to join our group. Please contact Dr. June Gruber with questions about the lab or graduate program at Boulder.
